To sum up the style of Psapp perfectly, you have to turn to none other than the band members, who like to make, "little songs with noises popping out." This is precisely the case for, "Hi," a major breakout for the duo composed of Carim Classman (instrutmentalist and noise maker) and Galia Durant (the one with the sweet and flawless voice). Though the music does reflect a mismatch of individual pieces, the overall feel is great. Psapp may be recognizable if you watch unbelievable-TV like Grey's Anatomy due to their song opening it up. That should have expanded their audience quite a bit the last year. One band's audience that should be as big as the universe, but somehow remains under the radar is Phoenix, the French band with English lyrics. Their latest, It's Never Been Like That, is novel and moves the recent re-punk movement in a new direction. We also have Zero 7, who is breaking out further with their latest and James Hunter rounds out this edition of Your Ear Bone with a sound unlike any today, but like most in the '60s and, "Don't Come Back."
