Time To Party Ghetto-Style
March. 15 2005

The latest jams on 'Your Ear Bone' are all about the beat and senseless lyrics. With M.I.A., a Sri Lankan via London throws down some silly raps over a nasty beat. It took a while for Europe to put out anything better in the ghetto-rap style, but M.I.A. does it nicely in her album Arula.

Beck is back, and this time he revisits his hip hop style, reminescent of his Midnite Vultures album. Although Guero doesn't quite have the full impact that his previous hip hop album, it is entertaining and certainly worth a listen. In Hell Yes, Beck is back to doing meaningless things like, "changing his plates," and "doin this thing." Nice.
