The Renascent is a semi-annual publication showcasing new art by artists from all around the world. The Autumn 2005 edition will include painters of any style or medium.

How to submit your entry

To submit your works, please email digital reproductions of your work along with title, size, medium, and date to state@code-interactive.com. More recent artwork is preferred. Also, we request a small bio and photo of the artist (also 300 dpi- 1" x 2", please). Unfortunately, we cannot accept any slides of your work, due to the fast turn around time of publication.

By sending renascent your work, you automatically agree to the submission agreement. See below for details. Online submission to come.

Artwork must be 300 dpi, but each piece may not exceed 5MB in file size. We can accept jpg, gif, or tiff files. Please note that if you are saving a file in jpg or gif format, the quality of the reproduction may be compromised.

Deadline for entries: 30 July, 2005!

Submission Agreement

By submitting your work to The Renascent Painting Book, you agree to allow the State of Art, The Renascent, and other companies affiliated to use, reproduce, and publish your work with no compensation to you. Work submitted (accepted or otherwise) will only be used in the 1 time publication of Renascent and potentially for advertisements
for that publication.

Submission Restrictions

Each participant is allowed to enter 6 pieces for jury. Of those, a maximum of 4 may be chosen to be published. You may not enter a painting created by another person. You may not enter a painting that has been rejected in the past.

The Publication

The publication will be a 7.5" x 7.5" full-color book, printed with high-quality reproduction. It will be available at most online retailers (Amazon.com, BarnesAndNobel.com, etc.), and can be ordered through the ISBN system at any bookstore. The price will be determined by how many pages the book is, but will most likely be around $24.
