We Aim to Produce Productive Thought
 
 

I was walking down the street one sunny afternoon while the happy people walked by and the silly little birds were chirping when it hit me. It was a book which came flying out of a third story window along with a couple of other items which made it look like someone was being involuntarily moved out of an apartment.

I picked up the book and noticed that it was a really bad book, the name of which esccapes me. However, the idea, that people in this mass market-multimedia-fast-paced life, still enjoy reading.

If people still enjoyed reading in this day and age, I figured, then it is a great possibility that some of those people would enjoy reading worthwhile material. "I will compile the most brilliant, though-provoking, philosophical material which is being produced today, and put it on an easily accesible web site," I thought.

This is the story which I completely made up to introduce a web site dedicated to modern philosophy and the art of the pen, "The Thinker."
